LuAnn Rankin

LuAnn Rankin, 70, of Winchester, Missouri, passed away at 6:58am at SE Iowa Regional Medical Center in Burlington, Iowa, on Sunday, August 2, 2026.

She was born on March 4, 1956, in Keokuk, Iowa to Robert Paul and Shirley Mae (Miller) Azinger. She was united in marriage to Robert Rankin Jr. on April Friday 13th 2001 by Pastor Ray Gilbert at Freedom in Christ Fellowship Church Kahoka, Missouri and he survives.

LuAnn attended school at Keokuk High School. After school, she worked several jobs as a bartender where many friendships were made. Later in life for health reasons, she was confined inside and very limited in what she could do. She loved her 4-legged German Shepard “Jagar”, and a good cup of coffee. She enjoyed her flowers, and watching the hummingbirds. She had a soft heart for any animals and would watch Animal Planet every chance she could.

LuAnn is survived by her husband of 25 years, a son Matthew Hubbard of Iowa City, IA a daughter Angel Hill of Keokuk, IA, brothers Jeff (Jessie) Azinger of Keokuk, IA, Damon Azinger of Sandusky, IA, brother and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her son Mark, and a sister-in-law Peggy Azinger.

According to her wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. There will be no visitation or funeral service.
