Donald L. Queen Sr.

Donald L. Queen Sr., 80, of Canton, Missouri, passed away at his home on Friday, July 17, 2026, with his family by his side. Donald was born on January 4, 1946, in Chicago, Illinois. He spent time growing up in Macon, Missouri before becoming a factory worker. Donald worked for Griffin Wheel for 34 years before retiring in 2012. Donald married Donna Kay Shepherd in Memphis, Missouri, on August 26, 1978. Together they raised 4 boys. Donald enjoyed hunting, fishing, and working on cars. He loved being outdoors, watching the Kansas City Chiefs, and spending time with his grandkids.

Donald is survived by Donna, his wife of 47 years, his sons Wesley John Metz, Canton, MO, Walter Joe (Crystal) Metz, Canton, MO, Donald Lee Queen Jr., Jefferson City, MO, and William Ray Queen, Keokuk, IA.; grandchildren, Justin, Ellison, and Lauren of Carthage, IL, Wesley M. Metz, of Quincy, IL, Stone Metz from New York, NY, Donald Lee Queen III, from Quincy, IL, Trey (Kenzie Guilfoyle) Metz, from Mt. Pleasant, IA, Andrew (Avery Dramke) Rairden, from Canton, MO, William Ray (Lexi Tekell) Queen II, from Jefferson City, MO, Riley R. Queen, of Kahoka, MO, and granddaughter Jordyn ( Dustin Chatfield) Ellison; 3 great-grandchildren, Roland and Theron Metz, and Daxton Ellison of Canton, MO, and two Sisters-in-Law, Sheila (Terry) Wheeler of Downing, MO, and Ruth (George) Coutsougeras of Tripoli Greece.

Donald was preceded in death by his grandparents and parents, Father-in-Law, John Shepherd, Step-Father-in-Law, Merl Eiffert and Mother-in-Law EllaB Eiffert.

Private arrangements have been undertaken by Wilson & McKinnon Funeral Home on behalf of the family.
