Creva Janet Ragan

Creva Janet Ragan, 90, of Pleasant Hill, Iowa formally of Kahoka, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Friday, October 16, 2026, at Story Point Home, Pleasant Hill, Iowa. Creva was born on March 15, 1936, in Keokuk, Iowa to Otis and Creva (Waite) Gutting. In 1954 she was a proud graduate of Kahoka High School.

On April 14, 1956, she was united in marriage to James "Red" Ragan at the Kahoka Christian Church. They were long-time residents and business owners in Kahoka, then after their children had grown, they moved to St. Louis to pursue other adventures. Eventually, they moved to Ankeny Iowa to be close to their grandchildren.

Janet is survived by her husband of 70 years, a daughter Cindy Ragan of Montgomery, Alabama, her son Brant (Sheri) Ragan of Runnells, Iowa, her precious grandchildren Brandi Ragan, Hunter Ragan, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Jon (Rose) Ragan and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents Otis and Creva Gutting, her in-laws Harold and Helen Ragan, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Bill (Joanne) Ragan.

Graveside services for Creva Janet Ragan will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, October 19, 2026, at the Kahoka Cemetery, Kahoka, Missouri. Pastor Rick Addison will officiate. Memorial contributions in memory of Janet are suggested to the Kahoka Cemetery and may be left or mailed to Wilson & McKinnon Funeral Home 975 E Main St., Kahoka MO 63445.
